KEVIN LUCIANO IN FRESH CONTROVERSY
These days, Questiomark records barely finds time to face the business of making music and selling records. The label, founded by Kevin Luciano-Gabriel has been locked in one controversy or the other all year-long. And even as the year nears an end, another controversy is showing up, threatening to end the year on a bad note for the three year-old label.Only few months back, Luciano addressed a press conference where he ‘expelled’ Streetmonks from the label, and appointed one Dejo Richards as the company’s CEO. The idea, according to him, was to step aside, and allow a neutral individual run the business. But there’s a new and interesting drama now playing at the Lagos-based label. Sources have told Glitterati Beats authoritatively that Dejo Richards has been shown the exit doors, after irreconcilable differences with Luciano. And, expectedly, he is already crying foul and throwing stones at his once-upon-a-tine buddy. It remains uncertain if a new CEO has been appointed or whether Luciano has returned to the office of CEO.Kevin Luciano-Gabriel is not new to such controversies. In the past two years, he has had cause to part with, under very bitter and controversial circumstances, two of his partner Gbenga Shokefun and Wale Otegbola. He has also lost two of his most gifted talents Asa and Cobhams. Convinced he is grossly misunderstood, the multi-millionaire bachelor never allows himself to be bothered; always keeping his eyes on the goals ahead. At least for now, he still has rapper Mode 9, Silver Saddih and Nnenna who call Questionmark home.
